26,190 fans were treated to a fine game at Minute Maid Park as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The SSB SSB Tar Heels won by the
slimmest of margins, 7 to 6.
 
Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings.  SSB came out the
victor in the 11th inning.  Curtis Granderson laced a base-hit.  Marco
Scutaro got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes.
After another out, Eric Bruntlett stepped in and he laced a single giving SSB
the victory as 26,190 happy fans celebrated wildly.  SSB had 13 hits for the
afternoon while Columbus had 6.  
 
Dan Wheeler(2-2) allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Chad Durbin(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He gave up 1 run
and 1 hit in 1/3 of an inning.
